Community Health. Workers - Where the xxxxxxx attends a meeting with the Employer at the request of the Employer and/or in accordance with Article 10.6 (Right to Have Xxxxxxx Present), and the meeting is outside the xxxxxxx'x scheduled hours, the xxxxxxx shall be paid his/her regular straight-time rate of pay for time spent at the meeting. Every reasonable effort shall be made to schedule the meetings during the xxxxxxx'x normal working hours.

Community Health. Service Agency means a “local health agency” or a public or private nonprofit organization that enters into a contract with the Commissioner of Health pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, § 145.891 through § 145.897.
Community Health. The Company shall construct, maintain, and operate health facilities to serve the communities impacted by the Project and shall install, maintain and use modern health devices and equipment and shall practice modern health procedures and precautions in accordance with accepted international medical standards. The Company shall provide subsidized medical treatment, care and attention at acceptable standards to all inhabitants of the communities affected by the Project consistent with the national health policy of the Government set out in Applicable Law, and shall maintain an adequate and properly staffed dispensary or hospital headed by a resident medical doctor.
Community Health. Centres Providing a range of general and specialist health services to people of all ages, including rehabilitation, aged care services, women, youth and children’s services, mental health, dental services, allied health and nursing services. Dhulwa Mental Health Unit Providing 24-hour treatment and care for adults with complex mental health needs. The unit currently has a 17 bed capacity with a combination of acute care beds and rehabilitation beds.

However, nothing in this Agreement shall relieve the State from any obligations under Applicable Law to provide adequate and accessible health care to communities affected by the Project.

Community Health. Norfolk Southern will pay $25 million into a Community Health Fund to pay for medical monitoring and mental health services for up to 20 years. ⮚ Medical Monitoring. Qualified residents will receive at least 10 free annual medical monitoring exams over a 15-year period (and more exams during the last 5 years of the program depending on funds available). These exams will include: routine physical exams, comprehensive metabolic blood panels, pulmonary function tests, x-rays, and assessment of results. ▪ People who lived within the area on the “Automatic Qualifier Map” below at any time from the derailment until the settlement was announced (Feb. 3, 2023 – May 23, 2024) are automatically eligible for Medical Monitoring. This covers people who live within 2-miles of the derailment site or along part of Xxxxxx Xxx. ▪ First responders on site in February 2023 are also automatically eligible for Medical Monitoring. ▪ For everyone else, Medical Monitoring will be available on a case-by-case basis based on factors like how far they live from the derailment site and any medical conditions that may be linked to the derailment event. Norfolk Southern will provide details on the application process later this year. Derailment Area Beaver County, PA East Palestine, OH Columbiana County, OH Lawrence County, PA ⮚ Mental Health Services. Residents and first responders can receive free counseling from certified mental health providers to discuss impacts from the derailment and chemical releases. ▪ Mental health counseling will be available for anyone living in Columbiana County, Ohio, or Beaver or Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, and anyone who worked within 2 miles of the derailment site between Feb. 3, 2023, and May 23, 2024. First responders on site in February 2023 are also included. ⮚ Coordination Committee and Independent Advisor. A committee of community members will be organized to give advice and help coordinate the Community Health Program (medical monitoring/mental health services). Norfolk Southern will also pay for an independent advisor to help the community understand the different health studies and assist residents in accessing the Community Health Program benefits.

Community Health. Comments noted that this article should only require the company to provide health care for employees; a requirement to provide community health care is unsustainable because it promotes dependency on the company instead of state responsibility. Other comments suggested extending company responsibility for health care services beyond project employees to individuals whose health is impacted by the mining project. Several comments noted that the company’s obligation regarding health care should be to work in partnership with the state to enhance the state’s long-term capacity to provide health care. Comments also suggested that the terms of this article could be negotiated as part of the Community Development Agreement.
Community Health. RH and GH will provide ongoing support of community health programs (such as initiatives in food security, environmental stewardship, economic opportunity, and affordable housing) that will provide resources to the Central and Northeastern Pennsylvania communities and utilize experience from some of the national programs Kaiser has in place to implement community health programs. Within twenty-four (24) months after Closing, Kaiser and RH will use reasonable commercial efforts to: (i) develop, building upon existing GH community health programs, a robust community health program that utilizes experience from the community health programs Kaiser has in place and is aligned with both the resources available within RH and the particular needs of the communities served, and (ii) implement all aspects of such community health program in Central and Northeastern Pennsylvania that are aligned with the needs of such communities. Kaiser will make available to RH, GH and GH’s Controlled Affiliates Xxxxxx’x know-how and programmatic capabilities for community health programs as appropriate.
