Common use of Computation of Periods Clause in Contracts

Computation of Periods. If a specified date to perform any act or give any notice in the Contract Documents (including the last date “within” a specified time period) falls on a non-Business Day, such act or notice may be timely performed on the next succeeding Business Day; provided, however that requirements contained in the Contract Documents regarding actions to be taken in the event of an emergency or other requirements for which it is clear that performance is intended to occur on a non-Business Day, such actions or performance shall be required on the date specified.
