CONTRACTS AND PURCHASES. All contracts let and purchases made pursuant to this Agreement shall be made by the County or City in conformance with the State laws.

Manager shall, in the name of and for the account of Company Subsidiaries, (i) cause the purchase of necessary supplies and services in the name of the applicable Company Subsidiary and for the account of Hospitals and (ii) negotiate and enter into such agreements as it may deem necessary or advisable, for the furnishing of utilities, services, concessions, and supplies for the maintenance and operation of the Hospitals, including the rendering of professional services.
CONTRACTS AND PURCHASES. (m) Subject to approval by the Association, make contracts for water, electricity, gas, fuel, telephone, vermin extermination, and other necessary services, or such of them, as the Association shall deem advisable. Also, place orders for such equipment, tools, appliances, materials and supplies as are necessary properly to maintain the communities’ common areas and recreational facilities. All such contracts and orders shall be made in the name of the Association and shall be subject to the limitation set forth in Paragraph (d) of this Article. When taking bids or issuing purchase orders, the Agent shall act at all times under the direction of the Association, and shall be under a duty to secure for and credit to the latter any discounts, commissions, or rebates obtainable as a result of such purchases. CONTRACTS AND PURCHASES. EJF shall enter into such contracts and make such purchases in the name of and at the expense of Owner as EJF reasonably determines to be necessary or advisable for the marketing, leasing, maintenance and operation of the Property, including, without limitation, the furnishing of all utilities, services, materials and/or supplies for the Property. EJF shall use commercially reasonable efforts to obtain materials, supplies and services at a reasonable cost and on reasonable terms; provided, however, that EJF is authorized to use the services of the contractor(s) of its choice in connection with the Property, including, but not limited to, EJF Maintenance Services. EJF shall have no liability for any amounts due with respect to any agreement, contract, account or obligation entered into by EJF on behalf of Owner pursuant to this Agreement. EJF shall be the sole beneficiary of any rewards, points or rebates offered by venders, suppliers or EJF’s credit card issuer for any payment or purchase made by EJF on behalf of the Owner.
CONTRACTS AND PURCHASES. The Board of Directors of the Agency may authorize any officer or officers of the Agency (including any officer of the Board of Directors or the Executive Committee) or any agent or agents to enter into any contract or to execute and deliver any instrument in the name of and on behalf of the Agency. Such authority may be general or confined to specific instances, consistent in each case with the By-Laws and the Agreement. The Board of Directors may by Resolution provide procedures for the entering into of contracts and making purchases of services, goods, equipment, supplies and facilities. The procedures may provide authority for the Board of Directors of the Agency, its officers or the Executive Committee to approve contracts and purchases and may make such provision as the Agency deems appropriate for public bidding for contracts and purchases. The Executive Committee shall approve payments required under any contract or purchase entered into by the Agency.
