Covenant Against Waste Clause Samples
A Covenant Against Waste is a contractual provision that prohibits a tenant or property holder from causing damage or significant alteration to the property beyond normal use. In practice, this clause requires the occupant to maintain the premises in good condition, preventing actions such as removing fixtures, neglecting repairs, or making unauthorized structural changes. Its core function is to protect the property owner's interest by ensuring the property is preserved and not devalued during the term of occupancy.
