Cross Sections. Cross sections sheets shall include the following information at a minimum for roadways, lateral ditches, ponds, flood compensation areas and mitigation areas.
Cross Sections. The Engineer shall use Geopak to generate preliminary cross-sections every 50 feet and at culvert locations in conjunction with the Geometric Schematic. The Engineer shall determine earthwork volumes for use in the cost estimate, and shall prepare 11”x17” or roll plots of the cross-sections. DocuSign Envelope ID: 6DA01770-719C-4EFF-A344-425189FAC6FB
Cross Sections. The Engineer shall use Open Roads to generate preliminary cross-sections every 100 feet and at culvert locations and cross-street and driveway locations in conjunction with the Geometric Schematic. The Engineer shall determine earthwork volumes for use in the cost estimate, and shall prepare roll plots of the cross-sections.
Cross Sections. The ENGINEER will develop an earthwork analysis to determine cut and fill quantities and provide final design cross sections at 100 feet intervals. Cross sections will be delivered in the standard TxDOT format on 11”x17” sheets or roll plots and electronic files. Cross sections and quantities will include existing pavement removals. Annotation will include at a minimum existing and proposed ROW, side slopes (front & back), profiles, etc. The ENGINEER will submit drawings at the 30%, 60%, and 95%, and final submittals, respectively.
Cross Sections. The numbers in parentheses ( ) represent the absolute minimum values. The shoulders should consist of continuous paved strips that are stabilized so as to permit stopping if need be; if there is not sufficient available space for the shoulder, the road should be provided with long stopping strips. Care must be taken to execute the shoulders in the widths indicated above to ensure that they are not less than the minimum. On second-class roads, if there does not exist sufficient space, the shoulder width should not under any circumstances be less than 1.20 m, it being understood that priority will be granted to the improvement of such roads. The main purpose of the median is to separate the two traffic directions. It also provides a space in which a driver who has lost control of a vehicle may regain that control in an emergency and also a width in which a speed-change lane or a left-turn lane may be provided or future widening of the road may be effected. For these reasons the preferred median width is 20 m, and in any case it should not be less than the dimensions indicated in the above table.

Cross Sections. The Engineer shall use Geopak to generate preliminary cross-sections every 100 feet and at culvert locations or other critical locations in conjunction with the Geometric Schematic. The Engineer shall determine earthwork volumes for use in the cost estimate, and shall prepare 11”x17” sheets of the cross-sections. DocuSign Envelope ID: AAC8E920-9951-40B4-B77C-DDDA5AE10FF9 Retaining Walls Prepare preliminary retaining concepts to be shown on schematics, typical sections, and cross sections. • Determine if any additional walls are required and verify the need for and length of the retaining wall as shown on the ultimate schematic. • Compute and tabulate retaining wall quantities for preliminary design milestone plans submittal.
Cross Sections. Level of effort is included to complete roadway cross section sheets of Cliff Avenue and Willow Street within the project area. Sheets will illustrate the roadway sections and required grading.
Cross Sections. Road Sections: Taken at SO-foot intervals with the interval reduced to 25 feet adjacent to the bridge. Cross section width will be to the existing/proposed right of way line, or 10 feet beyond the proposed limit of disturbance, whichever is greater; • Stream Sections: Taken at 100-foot intervals for approximately 500 feet upstream and downstream of the bridge crossing for the width of the anticipated flood plain; and • Driveway Sections: Profiles of all existing and proposed driveways will also be measured to 75 feet from the existing roadway centerline.
