Cross Union Appointments. An employee performing work covered by this Collective Agreement and other collective agreements, will pay Union dues on a pro-rata basis based upon their workloads in those agreements. Employees who have a workload of fifty percent (50%) or more in this Collective Agreement will receive the benefits of this Collective Agreement. Employees who are entitled to benefits as a result of the combined workload under this Agreement and other agreements will receive the benefits of the Agreement where the majority of the work is performed. If the workload is equal, the employee will be given the choice of which agreement will apply for benefit purposes. Recommendations for cross-union appointments will be made in accordance with Article 8. The College shall offer the employee the cross-union appointment in writing including the terms and conditions of the appointment and shall notify the Union of the appointment with a copy of the offer.   • Committee Appointments Members of the transfer screening committee and transfer interview committee shall be taken from the general hiring committee.   • Adjunct Appointments The use of adjuncts at a university shall, upon the request of the UFF Chapter representatives, be a subject of consultation under the provisions of Article 2.1, Consultation.

  • Limited Term Appointments (A) A limited term appointment is for a stated period of time, and carries no implication of renewal or continuation beyond the stated term of the limited term appointment. Notwithstanding, a member hired pursuant to [(B) (e)] below shall be given a probationary appointment, provided the member completes the required qualifications for the position, as set out in the letter of appointment, within the time period specified in his/her letter of appointment.
