Definition Of Immediate Family For Personal Necessity And Matters Of Personal Importance. Members of the immediate family means mother, father, step- mother, step-father, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandmother, grandfather or grandchildren of the unit member, or of the spouse of the unit member; and the spouse, son, step-son, son-in-law, daughter, step-daughter, daughter-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, and any personin loco parentis” of the unit member or any relative living in the immediate household of the unit member, and persons listed on the emergency card notification form attached as Appendix E. In order to provide proper notice during emergencies, the names listed on the emergency card will be limited to four (4). The designations on the emergency card can be changed at any time during District business hours.

  • Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Vulnerable Adults The Supplier will comply with all applicable legislation and codes of practice, including, where applicable, all legislation and statutory guidance relevant to the safeguarding and protection of children and vulnerable adults and with the British Council’s Child Protection Policy, as notified to the Supplier and amended from time to time, which the Supplier acknowledges may include submitting to a check by the UK Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) or the equivalent local service; in addition, the Supplier will ensure that, where it engages any other party to supply any of the Services under this Agreement, that that party will also comply with the same requirements as if they were a party to this Agreement.

  • Protection of Personal Information Party agrees to comply with all applicable state and federal statutes to assure protection and security of personal information, or of any personally identifiable information (PII), including the Security Breach Notice Act, 9 V.S.A. § 2435, the Social Security Number Protection Act, 9 V.S.A. § 2440, the Document Safe Destruction Act, 9 V.S.A. § 2445 and 45 CFR 155.260. As used here, PII shall include any information, in any medium, including electronic, which can be used to distinguish or trace an individual’s identity, such as his/her name, social security number, biometric records, etc., either alone or when combined with any other personal or identifiable information that is linked or linkable to a specific person, such as date and place or birth, mother’s maiden name, etc.

  • Protection of Personal Data 25.1 The Parties agree that they may obtain and have access to personal data for the duration of the Agreement for the fulfilment of the rights and obligations contained herein. In performing the obligations as set out in this Agreement, the Parties shall at all times ensure that: a) they process data only for the express purpose for which it was obtained; b) once processed for the purposes for which it was obtained, all data will be destroyed to an extent that it cannot be reconstructed to its original form; c) data is provided only to authorised personnel who strictly require the personal data to carry out the Parties’ respective obligations under this Agreement; d) they do not disclose personal data of the other Party, other than in terms of this Agreement; e) they have all reasonable technical and organisational measures in place to protect all personal data from unauthorised access and/or use; f) they have appropriate technical and organisational measures in place to safeguard the security, integrity and authenticity of all data in its possession or under its control in terms of this Agreement; g) such personal data is protected against unauthorised or unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction or damage, alteration, disclosure or access. 25.2 The Parties agree that if personal data will be processed for additional purposes beyond the original purpose for which it was obtained, explicit consent must be obtained beforehand from those persons whose information will be subject to further processing. 25.3 Should it be necessary for either Party to disclose or otherwise make available the personal data to any third party (including sub-contractors and employees), it may do so only with the prior written permission of the other Party. The Party requiring such permission shall require of all such third parties, appropriate written undertakings to be provided, containing similar terms to that set forth in this clause 25, and dealing with that third party's obligations in respect of its processing of the personal data. Following approval by the other Party, the Party requiring permission agrees that the provisions of this clause 25 shall mutatis mutandis apply to all authorised third parties who process personal data. 25.4 The Parties shall ensure that any persons authorized to process data on their behalf (including employees and third parties) will safeguard the security, integrity and authenticity of all data. Where necessary to meet this requirement, the Parties shall keep all personal data and any analyses, profiles, or documents derived therefrom logically separated from all other data and documentation held by it. 25.5 The Parties shall carry out regular assessments to identify all reasonably foreseeable internal and external risks to the personal data in its possession or under its control. The Parties shall implement and maintain appropriate safeguards against the risks which it identifies and shall also regularly verify that the safeguards which it has in place has been effectively implemented. 25.6 The Parties agree that they will promptly return or destroy any personal data in their possession or control which belongs to the other Party once it no longer serves the purpose for which it was collected in relation to this Agreement, subject to any legal retention requirements. This may be at the request of the other Party and includes circumstances where a person has requested the Parties to delete all instances of their personal data. The information will be destroyed in such a manner that it cannot be reconstructed to its original form, linking it to any particular individual or organisation.

  • Protection of Persons and Property The AGENCY shall be responsible for initiating, maintaining and supervising all safety precautions and programs in connection with the performance of this Contract. a. The AGENCY shall take all reasonable precautions for the safety and protection of: i. All employees and all persons whom the AGENCY suffers to be on the premises and other persons who may be affected thereby; ii. All property, materials, and equipment on the premises under the care, custody or control of the AGENCY; and iii. Other property at or surrounding the premises. b. The AGENCY agrees that the COUNTY does not guarantee the security of any equipment or personal property brought by the AGENCY, its agents or employees onto the COUNTY property and that the COUNTY shall in no way be liable for damage, destruction, theft or loss of any equipment and appurtenances regardless of the reason for such damage, destruction, theft or loss. c. The AGENCY shall comply with, and shall ensure that its contractors comply with, all applicable safety laws or ordinances, rules, regulations, standards and lawful orders from authority bearing on the safety of persons or property for their protection from damage, injury or loss. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: i. Occupational Safety & Health Act (OSHA) ii. National Institute for Safety and Health (NIOSH) iii. National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) The AGENCY must also comply with the guidelines set forth in the Orange County Safety & Health Manual. In any emergency affecting the safety of persons or property, the AGENCY will act with reasonable care and discretion to prevent any threatened damage, injury, or loss.

  • Technical and Organizational Measures The following sections define SAP’s current technical and organizational measures. SAP may change these at any time without notice so long as it maintains a comparable or better level of security. Individual measures may be replaced by new measures that serve the same purpose without diminishing the security level protecting Personal Data.

  • Personal Necessity A maximum of eight (8) days of accumulated sick leave may be used in any school year for personal necessity leave for any of the following reasons:

  • Abuse and Neglect of Children and Vulnerable Adults: Abuse Registry Party agrees not to employ any individual, to use any volunteer or other service provider, or to otherwise provide reimbursement to any individual who in the performance of services connected with this agreement provides care, custody, treatment, transportation, or supervision to children or to vulnerable adults if there has been a substantiation of abuse or neglect or exploitation involving that individual. Party is responsible for confirming as to each individual having such contact with children or vulnerable adults the non-existence of a substantiated allegation of abuse, neglect or exploitation by verifying that fact though (a) as to vulnerable adults, the Adult Abuse Registry maintained by the Department of Disabilities, Aging and Independent Living and (b) as to children, the Central Child Protection Registry (unless the Party holds a valid child care license or registration from the Division of Child Development, Department for Children and Families). See 33 V.S.A. §4919(a)(3) and 33 V.S.A. §6911(c)(3).

  • Personal Necessity Leave Leave which is credited under sick leave in this Agreement may be used, at the unit member’s election for purpose of personal necessity, provided that use of such personal necessity leave does not exceed eight (8) days in any school year. Four (4) days of regular sick leave time may be used for illness of family members or family emergency. 14.17.1 For purposes of this provision, personal necessity shall be limited to: A. Death of member(s) of employee’s immediate family; members include: the employee’s or the employee’s spouse’s; mother, father, brother, sister, grandmother, grandfather, children or grandchildren; son-, daughter-, sister-or brother-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and spouse of the employee. In addition any person living in the immediate household of the employee shall be included. This leave shall be in addition to any bereavement leave granted under “Bereavement Leave.” B. Accident involving his/her personal property, or the personal property of the aforementioned relations or persons (above), of such a nature that the immediate presence of the employee is required during the employee’s work day. C. Appearance in court as litigant. D. Serious or critical illness or injury of member of the immediate family, as defined, of such a nature that the immediate presence of the employee is required during his workday. E. Other significant circumstances which are not school or school district related, that the employee feels need immediate attention. 14.17.2 Before the utilization of personal necessity leave, a unit member must provide prior notice to the appropriate supervisor, except in cases of A, B, and D. Should the circumstances outlined in A, B, D arise, the employee shall make every effort to comply with the District procedures to enable the District to obtain a substitute. 14.17.3 P.N. under “E” shall not be used on Friday or Monday unless previously approved by their immediate supervisor. 14.17.4 Leave shall not be available for the following: Withholding services to the District Shopping Seeking other employment Recreation Extending vacation or holidays Donating Service Attendance at non-professional meetings

  • Entry and Sojourn of Personnel A Contracting Party shall, subject to its laws applicable from time to time relating to the entry and sojourn of non-citizens, permit natural persons of the other Contracting Party and personnel employed by companies of the other Contracting Party to enter and remain in its territory for the purpose of engaging in activities connected with investments.

  • Removal of Personnel The CONSULTANT agrees, within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a written request from the COUNTY, to promptly remove and replace the CONSULTANT'S Project Director, or any other personnel employed or retained by the CONSULTANT, or personnel of the sub-consultants or subcontractors engaged by the CONSULTANT to provide and/or perform services and/or work pursuant to the requirements of this Agreement, who the COUNTY shall request, in writing, be removed, which request may be made by the COUNTY with or without cause.
