Department and Classification Seniority. While seniority is generally understood to be defined as overall time in the bargaining unit as a permanent employee, time in separate classifications and departments shall also be tracked and may be considered for specific provisions of this agreement in the following order: First Priority: Job Classification Second Priority: Department Third Priority: Bargaining Unit Classification: The term Classification shall include the job titles listed in the salary schedule in Appendix A. Department: The term Department shall include maintenance, custodial, food services, and transportation.
