In consideration of my registration and participation in the BADASS Dash events, I hereby acknowledge that I am aware of the risks and hazards associated with or related to any such adventure, obstacles, and multisport events. a. Running, Climbing, Crawling, and Swimming;
b. Executing strenuous and demanding physical techniques;
c. Vigorous physical exertion, strenuous cardiovascular workouts, rapid movements, quick turns and stops;
d. Exerting and stretching various muscle groups;
e. Entering the water by diving, jumping, or falling;
f. Extended time in mud, ice, water, and underwater;
g. Extreme weather and temperature conditions, which may result in dehydration, heatstroke, sunstroke, or hypothermia;
h. Climbing, mounting, dismounting, crawling, or falling of course obstacles;
i. Falling or colliding with the ground, walls, trees, stands, containers, course obstacles, equipment, or with other participants;
j. Falling due to slippery surfaces, or uneven or irregular terrain;
k. Failure to properly use any piece of equipment, obstacle, or from mechanical failure of any obstacle or equipment;
l. Contact or being struck by other participants, spectators, event staff, obstacles, equipment or vehicles;
m. Spinal cord injuries, which may render me permanently, paralyzed.
n. Travel to and from the events, which are an integral part of BADASS Dash™ races, activities and events;

The Parties understand and acknowledge that: The Activities have foreseeable and unforeseeable inherent risks, hazards and dangers that no amount of care, caution or expertise can eliminate, including without limitation, the potential for serious bodily injury, permanent disability, paralysis and loss of life; The Organization may offer or promote online programming (such as webinars, remote conferences, workshops, and online training) which have different foreseeable and unforeseeable risks than in-person programming; The Organization has a difficult task to ensure safety and it is not infallible. The Organization may be unaware of the Participant’s fitness or abilities, may give incomplete warnings or instructions, may misjudge weather or environmental conditions, and the equipment being used might malfunction; and The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization and COVID-19 is extremely contagious. The Organization has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however, the Organization cannot guarantee that the Participant will not become infected with COVID-19. Further, attending the Activities could increase your risk of contracting COVID-19. The Participant is participating voluntarily in the Activities. In consideration of that participation, the Parties hereby acknowledge that they are aware of the risks, dangers and hazards and may be exposed to such risks, dangers and hazards. The risks, dangers and hazards include, but are not limited to: Contracting COVID-19 or any other contagious disease; Executing strenuous and demanding physical techniques; Vigorous physical exertion, strenuous cardiovascular workouts and rapid movements; Exerting and stretching various muscle groups; The failure to properly use any piece of equipment or from the mechanical failure of any piece of equipment; Spinal cord injuries which may render the Participant permanently paralyzed; Serious injury to virtually all bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, tendons and other aspects of the Participant’s body or to the Participant’s general health and well-being; Abrasions, sprains, strains, fractures, or dislocations; Concussion or other head injuries, including but not limited to, closed head injury or blunt head trauma; Physical contact with other participants, spectators, equipment, and hazards; Not wearing appropriate safety or protective equipment, such a helmet; Failure to act safely or within...

i. Contact, colliding, falling or being struck by other participants or equipment;
x. Xxxxx force trauma, serious soft tissue injuries, broken bones, or spinal cord injuries which may render the Participant permanently paralyzed;
k. Abrasions, entanglements, entrapments, or flying objects and debris;
l. Drowning including but not limited to swimming at Western Winds and Amtgard- Viridian Outlands events;
m. Allergies of any kind including but not limited to food, pollen, plants, perfume(s), bug bites, etc;
x. Xxxxx from fires, cooking surfaces, open flames;
o. Reactions to lasers, flashing lights and artificial fog including, but not limited to, seizures and asphyxiation; p. Viral and/or bacterial infection from community transmission such as, but not limited to, the flu, common cold, COVID-19, etc; and
q. Use or overuse of alcohol and recreational drugs that may lead to overdose or death.
