Discipline or Discharge for Just Cause. 20.1.1 No established unit member shall be disciplined, dismissed, reduced in rank or compensation without just cause. 20.1.2 Discipline shall be consistent with the principles of progressive discipline as specified herein. 20.1.3 Discipline shall be imposed as soon as possible after the Employer is aware of the conduct giving rise to the discipline and has a reasonable period of time to investigate the matter.
