Downtown Seattle Zone Pay. A The Downtown Seattle Zone is defined as the area West of I-5, East of Xxxxxxx Bay, South of Xxxxxx Street and North of Xxxxx Xxxxxxxx. For the purpose of this section the Xxxxxx and Xxxxx Xxxxxxxx boundaries will be straight line extensions to a point the straight line intersects Xxxxxxx bay. B When parking is not reimbursed or provided a premium of $1.00 per hour shall be paid for each hour worked on projects within this zone.

SECTION 1. Shop Xxxxxxx: There will be no discrimination against any worker because of past or present union activities or because of race, creed, sex, age or color. However, no xxxxxxx, unless he/she has been designated as the working xxxxxxx on the job, is to use the Employer’s time for union activities. The Employer shall be informed of the names of the appointed stewards.

ARTICLE 1 CRAFT WORK RULES
SECTION 1. Shop Stewards
(a) The Business Representative shall have the right to designate in writing to the Employer a Jour- xxxxxx Xxxxxxxxx as a Xxxxxxx on each of the Employer’s projects. The Xxxxxxx shall not be discharged or transferred except for just cause and shall remain on the job provided that there are at least four (4) Carpenters on the project. The Employer will notify the Union at least for- ty-eight (48) hours prior to terminating the Stew- ard. If a Xxxxxxx is terminated, the Business Representative may appoint another Xxxxxxx from the remaining crew.
(b) The Xxxxxxx shall be allowed reasonable time to perform his/her duties in insuring that the condi- tions of the Agreement are being adhered to and he/she shall be allowed time to advise the Busi- ness Representative of any alleged violations. In addition to his/her other duties, the Xxxxxxx shall have the right to take up a report once each week during working hours. This must be done as ex- peditiously as possible.
(c) In the event it is found that a Xxxxxxx is laid-off or discharged for performing his/her functions as a Xxxxxxx, the Employer shall reinstate him/ her with pay for all lost time as a result of such improper action.
Downtown Seattle Zone Pay a) The Downtown Seattle Zone is defined as the area West of I-5, East of Elliot Bay, South of Xxxxxx Street and North of Xxxxx Xxxxxxxx. For the purpose of this section, the Xxxxxx and Xxxxx Xxxxxxxx boundaries will be straight line extensions to that point where the straight line intersects Elliot Bay.
b) A premium of $1.00 per hour shall be paid for each hour worked by an employee who reports to work at a project within this zone or an employee whose work shift ends at a project within this zone. The provisions of this section do not apply to employees reporting to work or working at a facility owned or leased by an Individual Employer within this zone where employees are provided parking free of charge.

SECTION 1. CREWS APPENDIX 2 CRAFT WORK RULES
X. Xxxxx on power shovels, mucking machines, crawler cranes, floating cranes, truck cranes, xxxxxxx cranes, locomotive cranes, Hyster cat cranes, drilling machines, pile driving equipment, and trenching machines shall consist of an operator and additional engineer unless the Union agrees that an additional engineer is not necessary; and when an employee or employees additional to the operator are required by the Employer for operation, servicing, maintenance or repair on any equipment covered by this Agreement, such extra employee or employees shall be engineers or assistant engineers. Equipment mentioned above shall not mean small machines on which it has been the past practice to use only one employee. The additional engineer is to be under the direct supervision of the operator at all times. In order to maintain the jurisdiction of the Operating Engineers, the Union may, when it deems necessary, allow the contractor to utilize the additional engineers on an intermittent basis to operate equipment in the immediate area and under the supervision of the operator.
X. Xxxxx Assistant Engineer/Oiler shall be required on all friction Truck Cranes 50 tons and over and Truck Cranes and All Terrain Cranes that are over 60 tons. All Rough Terrain Cranes and Hydraulic Boom Crawler Cranes over 100 tons shall require an assistant engineer. If assistance is needed for assembly or disassembly, it shall be done by an Operating Engineer. No crane shall be altered or de-rated for purposes of utilizing one (1)
Downtown Seattle Zone Pay a) The Downtown Seattle Zone is defined as the area West of I-5, East of Xxxxxxx Bay, South of Xxxxxx Street and North of Xxxxx Xxxxxxxx. It also includes the area North of Yesler Way, West of Broadway, South of Pike St and East Pike St, and the section of I-5 North of Yesler Way and South of Pike St. For the purpose of this section the Xxxxxx and Xxxxx Xxxxxxxx boundaries will be straight line extensions to a point the straight line intersects Xxxxxxx Bay.
b) When parking is not reimbursed or provided a fixed rate of $1.50 per hour shall be paid for each hour worked on projects within this zone.
