Common use of Dual Medical Coverage Clause in Contracts

Dual Medical Coverage. If a teacher who is eligible for coverage under the District’s group medical plan is also eligible as the spouse of another covered employee, the coverages will supplement one another, so that benefit payments for such individuals with dual coverage will be made up to 100% of the eligible charge provided that each employee pays the full contribution amount associated with the coverage sought and one employee pays the employee or employee plus dependent(s) amount (e.g. two employees only, one pays employee plus spouse and the other pays employee only contribution; or two employees and family, one employee pays employee plus spouse and family and the other pays employee plus family). The employees must be members of the same medical insurance plan.
