Common use of Education Leave of Absence Clause in Contracts

Education Leave of Absence. (a) If required by the Employer an employee shall be entitled to leave of absence with pay and without loss of seniority and benefit to upgrade her employment qualifications. (b) Where employees are required by the Employer to take courses to upgrade or acquire new employment qualifications, the Employer shall pay the full costs associated with the courses. The Administrator may grant a request for unpaid leave of absence to upgrade employment qualifications provided that she receives at least one month's notice in writing unless impossible, and provided that such a leave may be arranged without undue inconvenience to the normal operations of the Nursing Home. Applicants, when applying, must indicate the date of departure and specific date of return.
