Effect of Sabbatical Leave on Salary Increments, Retirement and Sick Leave Accumulation. The member’s normal percentage rate of deduction for retirement purposes shall be applied to the actual salary received. The sabbatical leave year is counted as a full year of service for retirement purposes. Such leaves shall be counted as a year of service and experience on the salary schedule. There will be no sick leave accumulation for time spent on sabbatical leave.
