Electronic Visit Verification ("EVV. A. To ensure: 1. the EVV system is used to verify the provision of services governed under 40 TAC, Chapter 68 or its successor; 2. only authorized people access the Contractor's EVV account; 3. all data elements required by HHSC or HHSC's designee are uploaded or entered and maintained in the EVV system completely, accurately, and prior to submitting the claim; 4. that each time services governed by 40 TAC Chapter 68 or its successor are delivered to an individual, the Contractor's staff uses an HHSC-approved EVV system; and 5. service delivery documentation is immediately available for review by HHSC when requested. B. Equipment provided to Contractor by HHSC, HHSC’s designee, or an HHSC-approved EVV vendor, must be returned in good condition when the equipment is no longer needed under this Contract. In the context of this agreement, “good condition” means Contractor must not place any marks or identifying information on the equipment and may not alter information on the equipment including logos and serial numbers. If the equipment is lost, stolen, marked, altered or damaged by Contractor, Contractor may be required to pay the replacement cost for each piece of equipment that is lost, stolen, marked or damaged. Replacement costs for lost, stolen, marked or damaged equipment may be assessed periodically. If Contractor recovers previously lost or stolen equipment for which Contractor paid the replacement cost in the prior 12 months, Contractor may return the equipment and be reimbursed for the replacement costs within 12 months of the date HHSC, HHSC’s designee or an HHSC-approved EVV vendor (as applicable) received payment in full from the Contractor. This is provided the equipment is returned in good condition as specified above. C. HHSC may perform EVV compliance oversight reviews to determine if Contractor has complied with EVV compliance requirements as outlined in 40 TAC Chapter 68 or its successor, EVV Policy posted on the HHSC EVV website or EVV Policy Handbook. D. If the Contractor determines an electronic record in the EVV system needs to be adjusted at any time, the Contractor will make the adjustment in the EVV system using the most appropriate EVV reason code number(s), EVV reason code description(s) and enter any required free text when completing visit maintenance in the EVV system, if applicable. E. Contractor must begin using an HHSC-approved EVV system prior to submitting an EVV relevant claim. F. All claims for services required to use ...

Electronic Visit Verification ("EVV. As a requirement of the 21st Century Cures Act, EOHHS requires implementation of EVV. EVV is a system established to enhance program efficiencies and quality assurance for various in- home and community-based care services administered by EOHHS and the managed care organizations. EVV is an in-home visit scheduling, tracking and billing system that uses telephony- based technology and GPS tracking to capture time and service information about home and community-based service visits. EVV is intended to employ controls within the delivery of home and community-based services to ensure quality of care, program efficiency and quality assurance for various in home and community-based services. The Contractor will implement and operationalize an EVV program as defined by EOHHS. EVV is intended to employ controls within the delivery of home and community-based services to ensure quality of care, program efficiency and quality assurance for various in home and community-based services. EOHHS has delegated its authority to an EVV vendor to administer the collection of data for the program. MCOs will be required to transfer data, including member specific information, and work cooperatively in partnership with the EVV vendor and EOHHS.

Electronic Visit Verification ("EVV. It is anticipated that during the life of this agreement the Employer will implement use of electronic visit verification (EVV), either through state or federal regulation or of its own volition. The implementation of EVV or other electronic system would be an alternative to the use of timesheets, travel/mileage documentation and other employee paper documentation. The parties will negotiate over implementation of this technology if it conflicts with any portions of this agreement or if the economic interests of employees are implicated by implementation. The Employer and the Union agreea to notify the other party no less than 90 days before negotiating over economic impacts or conflicts with this agreement.

(b) The Provider must ensure that attendants providing services applicable to EVV are trained and comply with all processes required to verify service delivery through the use of EVV. (c) Providers must notify MCOs of any ongoing issues with EVV contractors or unresolved issues with EVV systems. (d) Providers must notify a Member's service coordinator if the Member refuses to allow home health attendants and nurses access to the Member's landline telephone to document when services begin and end. (e) Providers must maintain service delivery visits verified in accordance with program requirements at least 90 percent per quarter. (f) Providers must ensure all data elements required by HHSC are uploaded or entered into the EVV system completely, accurately, and before billing for services delivered. (g) Providers must ensure that the Provider’s attendant uses the EVV system in a manner prescribed by HHSC to call-in when service delivery begins and call-out when service delivery is completed each time services subject to EVV are delivered to a Member. (h) Equipment provided by an EVV contractor to a Provider, if applicable, must be returned in good condition. If equipment is lost, stolen, marked, altered or damaged by the Provider, the Provider may be required to pay the replacement cost of the equipment.
