Employee and Association. Any aggrieved person may be represented at all stages of the grievance procedure by himself, a representative of his choosing, or at his option, by a representative selected or approved by the Association. When an employee is not represented by the Association at Levels Two and Three, the Association shall have the right to be present at those levels as a party of interest, and shall have the right to grieve any adjustment of the employee’s complaint, if such adjustment is inconsistent or contrary to the provisions of this agreement.

Employee and Association. The Association shall have the right to withdraw any grievance submitted to arbitration at any time before the arbitrator's decision. The employee shall have the right to withdraw his or her grievance at any time during Levels One, Two and Three. Any aggrieved person may be represented at all stages of the grievance procedure by himself or herself, or, at his or her option at all levels, by a representative selected or approved by the Association. When an employee is not represented by the Association, the Association shall have the right to be present at all levels as a party in interest. The Association shall have the right to grieve any adjustment of the employee's grievance at Levels Two and Three if such adjustment is inconsistent or contrary to the provisions of this Agreement.

The presence of the administrator and/or Board quorum is required at any conference or step level meeting when a meeting has been mutually scheduled, unless extenuating circumstances preclude their attendance. If the required administrators and Board members are not present, the grievance is forfeited by the Board.
