Environmental Engineer. Any firm of independent professional engineers or other scientists generally recognized as expert in the detection, analysis and remediation of Hazardous Substances and related environmental matters and acceptable to the Agent in its reasonable discretion.

Environmental Engineer. The Contractor shall utilize an Environmental Engineer for engineering efforts requiring this expertise. The Environmental Engineer shall have a college degree in Environmental Engineering or closely related Engineering Degree and meet the other experience and education requirements as stated above.

Any judgment, decree, order, law, license, rule, regulation, injunction or binding agreement issued, promulgated or entered into by any Governmental Authority (whether non-U.S., federal, state, provincial or local) pertaining to human health or the pollution or protection of the environment or the preservation or reclamation of natural resources or the management, release, threatened release or discharge of any Hazardous Substances into the environment, including, without limitation, those arising under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, CERCLA, the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act of 1986, the Federal Clean Water Act, the Federal Clean Air Act, the Toxic Substances Control Act, any state or local statute, regulation, ordinance, order or decree relating to the environment, or any comparable statutes, regulations, ordinances, orders or decrees from time to time in effect in any of the Approved Foreign Countries.
