Exceptions to Daily Overtime. When a employee is permitted by the Company to change from one shift to another at his own request, and a new shift starts within the same twenty-four (24) hour period as his preceding shift, overtime resulting from such shift changes will not be paid as provided in Sections 19.02 and 19.03. The starting time of the new shift will start a new twenty-four (24) hour period for the purpose of determining overtime, but Sections 19.02 and 19.03 shall not apply when an employee whose request for a shift change has been granted reverts to his previous shift schedule.
