Exchange Clearance Clause Samples

The Exchange Clearance clause defines the process by which transactions are settled and confirmed through a recognized exchange or clearinghouse. Typically, this clause outlines the responsibilities of each party to ensure that trades are properly submitted for clearing, and may specify timelines, required documentation, or procedures in the event of a failed clearance. Its core practical function is to ensure that all trades are finalized in accordance with industry standards, thereby reducing counterparty risk and providing certainty of settlement for both parties.
