Excused Shift. If an employee calls in to notify the Employer that they will not be able to attend their scheduled shift, at least one week prior to the start of their shift, they will re- ceive an Excused Shift if the Employer is able to schedule a replacement employee. An employee can have up to five (5) Excused Shifts in a twelve (12) month period starting each September 1st.

Excused Shift. An employee excused from scheduled work hours at the Employer's request shall be credited with the equivalent number of hours lost toward accumulation of benefits.
Excused Shift. If an employee calls in to notify the Employer that they will not be able to attend their scheduled shift, at least one week prior to the start of their shift, they will receive an Excused Shift if the Employer is able to schedule a replace- ment employee. An employee can have up to five (5) Excused Shifts in a twelve (12) month period starting each September 1st. or injury. An employee can for any reason, without the necessity of providing a reason or proving that an emergency exists, have up to four (4) Cancelled Shifts in a twelve (12) month period commencing September 1st of each year. Should the employee have a fifth (5th) Cancelled Shift, the employee shall be deemed to have been discharged for just cause.

  • Hour Shift An eight (8) hour tour shall be inclusive of an unpaid one-half (1/2) hour meal period, and two fifteen (15) minute paid relief periods.

  • Hour Shifts When the Employer deems it necessary to implement a twelve (12) hour work day, affected employees shall be notified pursuant to Clause 14.05. The following Clauses shall be replaced or added to the Collective Agreement where appropriate.

  • Evening Shift Differential A shift premium of two dollars and seventy-five cents ($2.75) per hour shall be paid:

  • Twelve Hour Shifts Employees shall be entitled, subject to exigencies of patient care and/or departmental requirements, to rest periods during the shift of a total of forty-five (45) minutes.

  • Second Shift The second shift shall be seven and one-half (7½) hours of continuous employment, except for lunch period at mid-shift, and shall be paid eight (8) hours at the straight time hourly wage rate.

  • Weekly Overtime An Employee required to work in excess of forty (40) hours per week shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1 1/2) for the first eight (8) hours of work in excess of the forty (40) hours and double time thereafter.

  • Evening Shift The evening shift shall include all scheduled shifts where the majority of hours occur after 2:00 p.m.

  • Day Shift The standard work day will consist of eight (8) hours worked between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. with a designated thirty (30) minute lunch period. Starting and stopping times to be determined by mutual agreement between the Company and the shop employees.

  • Overtime or Callout Which Does Not Abut the Succeeding Shift (1) When overtime is worked there shall be an elapsed time of eight hours between the end of overtime and the time the employee reports for duty on the next regular shift, with no shortfall out of their regular shift.

  • Work Shift The hours an employee is scheduled to work each workday in a workweek.
