Existing Medical Conditions Clause Samples
The 'Existing Medical Conditions' clause defines how pre-existing health issues are addressed within the context of an agreement, typically in insurance or service contracts. It specifies whether conditions that existed before the start of the contract are covered, excluded, or subject to special terms, such as waiting periods or additional premiums. Existing Medical Conditions. Platinum Card Assistance shall have no obligation to provide medical assistance where the illness giving rise to the necessity of medical attention falls within any of the following categories: illnesses arising from a medical condition which existed prior to the period of a Covered Trip (unless the treating practitioner or treating specialist has given specific written confirmation of fitness to travel prior to departure); sickness and bodily injury resulting from the use of non-prescribed drugs; attempted suicide or mental illness; premature birth or miscarriage within three months of the estimated date of delivery.
Existing Medical Conditions. The Company will not be liable in respect of any condition directly or indirectly consequent upon or contributed to by any pre-existing medical condition except as follows:
