Facility Closures. When a Seattle Center facility closes for repair, renovation, etc., Guest Services personnel typically assigned to such facility will be utilized to the fullest extent possible for the remaining work, consistent with contractual obligations to clients, contractors and in consideration of the nature of the work to be performed. The Union and Seattle Center will meet to discuss and resolve issues of application of seniority in such circumstances.

Facility Closures. Situations may arise that pose a serious risk to the health, safety or security of District staff, program participants and others that necessitate closing an individual or multiple District buildings or park facilities. Examples include the following: threats to persons or property; a recommendation by civil authorities; a public utilities failure, including the failure of a gas, electric, water, or sewer system or natural disaster. District staff will be notified as quickly as practical through internal and external communication systems once a decision is made to close a facility. Facility Closures. Within [***] after the Effective Date and on [***] thereafter, GenIbet shall propose to Seres a schedule showing all national and corporate holidays and Facility shutdowns for the next 12 months for Seres’ review and approval. GenIbet shall not close the Facility on any day other than the dates identified in such schedule without Seres’ prior approval.
Facility Closures. The Agency shall use commercially reasonable efforts to give six months notice to Lender of Agency’s closure or sale of an Agency-owned building that contains Equipment subject to the Agreement. In the event a facility is closed for all or part of a single day or days due to inclement weather or an emergency, employees in that facility must discuss the matter with the branch/department manager or her/his designee. The branch/department manager or her/his designee will communicate a course of action such as: (1) direct the employee not to report to work; (2) send the employee home with notice that she/he either is or is not subject to recall to work his/her remaining scheduled hours that day; (3) delay the employee’s scheduled starting time; or (4) reassign an employee to a proximate facility for the employee’s scheduled workday. If an employee desires not to be reassigned, she/he may request his/her supervisor’s permission to use accrued vacation leave, individual leave, or holiday time.

Facility Closures. Effective July 1, 2010, subject to the provisions set forth below, all members who were assigned to a building at the time the building closed for renovations or rebuilding shall have the right to return to that building in their previously held classification prior to any staff who were not at the affected building. If there are insufficient openings to accommodate the requests, the positions will be filled by seniority within the classification. For dietary staff, the first right of refusal only applies if the food service operation remains the same as when the building closed. For school secretaries, the first right of refusal only applies if the grade levels are the same as when the building closed. If a formal school closing committee is formed by the District, the Union shall select a representative to serve on the committee and release time shall be provided whenever meetings or school visits are scheduled during the school day. The parties agree to develop a joint committee to discuss the District’s plan for permanent and/or temporary building closures. A discussion item of the committee will be to review any displaced individuals affected by such building closures.
