Factory acceptance testing is a process, not an event, and could, in fact, extend over several weeks or months.

Factory Acceptance Test. (FAT) by the Customer may be conducted at the Supplier's premises at least 30 calendar days prior to the shipment of the equipment. The schedule and procedure shall be presented to the Customer in due course. At the time of FAT, all the test data for each equipment or Product shall be presented to the Customer or its representatives. The foregoing shall not be construed as limiting any of the Supplier's obligations under this Agreement.
Factory Acceptance Test. DigitalGlobe shall perform a functional check-out of the DAF and, based on this test, will provide the Customer with a certification so that the DAF’s performance meets all the requirements established in Appendix A. DigitalGlobe agrees to submit to the Customer a record of such check-out test and certification. The Customer will be notified in advance of such test and, at its option and expense and subject to the timely receipt of applicable U.S. Government, Canadian Government and/or other applicable export approvals, the Customer and/or the End-User may observe this test.
Factory Acceptance Test. (FAT) – Every davit fabricated under this solicitation shall undergo a Factory Acceptance Test. The vendor shall produce a test procedure (CDRL A004) that includes detailed test procedures, schedules, test installation layout, location, duration, and required test instrumentation and equipment. Test procedures shall require Government approval. The Contractor Factory Acceptance Test procedure shall ensure that all hardware components and operating system work as an integrated system and include the following tests in accordance with NAVSEA Drawing 583-6743681 Rev B. The contractor shall notify the government no later than 7 days prior to the start of testing (CDRL A013). For Factory Acceptance Testing the number of cycles shall be performed for the following tests: (1) 200% Static Load Test (2 cycles)
Factory Acceptance Test. 5.2.1. SELLER shall inspect the Equipment to confirm that it meets the Technical Specifications, and shall thereupon send the ex-works quality certificate to BUYER, with notification of the planned date for the Factory Acceptance Test. The date for the Factory Acceptance Test must be no earlier than two (2) weeks from the date when the notification is received by BUYER, and shall be no later than nine (9) months after BUYER pays the Initial Payment to SELLER. 5.2.2. In addition to BUYER’s inspectors, BUYER’s lenders and shareholders may also send their inspectors. Prior to commencement of the Factory Acceptance Test, SELLER shall provide BUYER with technical instruction in the operation and maintenance of the Equipment as described in Appendix 4. After completing the technical instruction, SELLER shall commence the Factory Acceptance Test, and provided that the Equipment meets the Technical Specifications, BUYER and SELLER shall sign the Factory Acceptance Certificate. SELLER shall ship the Equipment to BUYER as soon as practicable after successful completion of the Factory Acceptance Test, as evidenced by the Factory Acceptance Certificate signed by SELLER and BUYER; provided, however, that the SELLER may not ship the Equipment until the Factory Acceptance Certificate has been signed by BUYER; provided, however, that if BUYER does not attend the Factory Acceptance Test after having been given notification in accordance with Section 5.2.1 above, and if SELLER conducts the Factory Acceptance Test in BUYER’s absence, and confirms that the Equipment meets the Technical Specifications, then SELLER may sign the Factory Acceptance Certificate and the Factory Acceptance Test shall have been deemed completed without the Factory Acceptance Certificate being signed by BUYER. 5.2.4. In addition to the foregoing, BUYER, its authorized representatives and its lenders, shareholders and their respective authorized representatives, may inspect the Equipment at any time prior to delivery of the Equipment FOB to the Port of Shipment. Factory Acceptance Test. Factory acceptance test requirements, specifications and procedures shall be developed by the contract manufacturer as part of the engineering development activity and must be approved in writing by Xplore Technologies prior to new product introduction. The contract manufacturer is responsible for the development of all special purpose test equipment, test software and test fixtures. The factory testing shall be sufficient to ensure that the products being produced meet all of the design, functional, construction, and quality requirements of this document.
Factory Acceptance Test. Prior to shipment from its manufacturing facility, HICO shall conduct a test pursuant to the procedure outlined in the test criteria set forth in the Contract Documents (the “Factory Acceptance Test”). The purpose of the Factory Acceptance Test shall be primarily to identify any mechanical interferences between machine members, improper adjustments made during assembly and generally to determine that the Work is in good working order. Buyer shall have the option to have a reasonable number of its personnel and/or representatives that are acceptable to HICO to observe the Factory Acceptance Test upon at least ten (10) days advance written notice to HICO. It is understood that any material defects in materials and workmanship which may be identified as a result of the Factory Acceptance Test will be corrected by HICO prior to delivery or shipment of the Work unless specifically directed to the contrary in writing by Buyer.

Factory Acceptance Test. 5.4.2.1 Rand Water shall issue FAT SCADA software, PLC software, PLC panel and instrumentation checklists to the contractor during the first kick off meeting. 5.4.2.2 Each item in FAT checklists shall be signed off by both Rand Water and contractor representatives after all snags have been addressed.
Factory Acceptance Test. Contractor shall conduct a factory acceptance test review for each DSS at Contractor’s facilities, including as set forth in Exhibit A (“Factory Acceptance Test Review”). Upon successful completion of the Factory Acceptance Test Review, Contractor shall provide such certification to Globalstar. If Globalstar objects, it shall provide reasons for such objection to Contractor. Upon such notification by Globalstar or if the DSS does not successfully complete the Factory Acceptance Test Review, Contractor shall remedy the deficiencies and satisfactorily complete other conditions mutually acceptable to Globalstar and Contractor after which Contractor shall proceed to ship each DSS to the designated DSS installation site. Globalstar shall accept or reject the Factory Acceptance Test Review, in writing within ten business days of receiving the certificate from Contractor.
