Family History and Prior Enrollment in CHIP. The Division will assign the CHIP Member to a Contractor if the Member and/or individuals in the Member’s Case Identification Number are or were enrolled with a particular Contractor as part of CHIP within the past two (2) months. If the Division does not identify that the Member and/or individuals in the Member’s Case Identification Number were enrolled in a Contractor under CHIP, the Division will check whether the Member was enrolled previously in the CHIP Program with a particular Contractor.
