Filling Vacancies Through Posting. (a) Where the vacancy cannot be filled within the seniority block, the position shall be posted on designated Union bulletin boards throughout the bargaining unit for fourteen (14) calendar days. Where there is more than one applicant for a position, the position shall be offered to the senior qualified applicant. (b) The Parties agree that vacancies in the classifications of TSS and TPS Mechanic and Xxxxxxx 3 and 4 will be posted in accordance with this clause and that the selection of the successful applicant will be based on the relative abilities of the applicants. Where two (2) or more applicants are equal in abilities then the senior employee will be the successful candidate.
