Flood Control Sample Clauses

Flood Control. Nothing in this Agreement affects or alters the obligations, rights, and privileges of the entities under the Treaty relating to operation and compensation for flood control and without restricting the generality of the foregoing, it is expressly agreed that any reduction in generation in the United States brought about by operation for flood control under the Treaty or any flood control arrangements made pursuant to the Treaty shall not be a reduction in the Canadian Entitlement for which compensation is required under this Agreement.

Flood Control. Each Loan Party, the Real Property Collateral and the use and operations of the Real Property Collateral are in compliance in all material respects with the provisions of all flood control laws, ordinances and other regulations applicable to the Real Property Collateral (including laws, ordinances and regulations of the Cxxxx County Flood Control District) and all agreements relating to flood control with respect to the Real Property Collateral.

Flood Control. Construction, and operation and maintenance (“O&M”), by DSI, of flood control structures (primarily new construction, and secondarily rehabilitation, of said structures) to mitigate flood risks in selected river basins and to improve flood risk management through an optimal combination of structures (including, inter alia, check dams, levees, retaining walls, embankments, reservoirs, polders) in flood-prone areas (“Sub-projects”); said Subproject activities include (i) construction of check dams, permeable check dams, levees, culverts, flood control channels, reinforced concrete channels, open channels with trapezoidal cross-section, open channels with retaining walls, and railings, (ii) piloting of nature-based solutions (“NBS”) (including the use of flood plains and bypasses, inland wetlands, stream banks and beds, and upland forest) and hybrid NBS and conventional grey solutions, and (iii) implementing innovative techniques for flood management at river basin scale.
