In addition, in the event of snow or other emergencies, teachers may leave at the discretion of the principal in the interest of safety. Full-day in-service days shall be the approximate length of the work day. For part-time teachers, the principal will determine the dates on which the part-time teacher will attend the Wednesday in-service days and the professional development day schedule. Nurses will be provided nurse-related professional development during Wednesday afternoon early release days and district full day in-service days or will be permitted to obtain their own professional development during these times with the advance approval of the Superintendent or his/her designee.

  • Holiday Week In the event that a holiday is celebrated during the week (Monday through Friday), the remaining four days of the week may be worked as a four ten shift at the straight time rate on a voluntary basis with three (3) days’ notice to the Union.
