Funeral Detail. In the event of the death of a member of the bargaining unit in the line of duty, up to six (6) employees in the same job series, or, in the alternative, the same agency, shall be granted time off to attend the funeral . Department heads shall be notified a reasonable time in advance. Personnel attending funerals for other law enforcement officers or fire fighters, where the Union has determined that a funeral detail is necessary, shall be permitted to wear their uniform to such services .
