Geofencing. For purposes of this Agreement, “geofencing” means the use of technology to create a virtual geographic boundary, enabling software to trigger a response when a micromobility device enters or leaves a particular area. Vendor shall coordinate within reason with the City regarding geofenced areas of operations for the purpose of eliminating or reducing speed conflicts between the stand-up electric scooters and other vehicles and pedestrians. The City’s Traffic Engineer and based upon considerations of public safety, pedestrian and vehicular traffic, mishandling of the stand-up electric scooters, requests from the public/stakeholders, criminal activity, construction and special events, may create designated areas where the electric scooters may not be operated or where the maximum operating speed must be reduced, and areas where electric scooters shall not be parked, but may still allow access of devices through the area. Vendor must have the technology available to implement these requirements upon reasonable notice.
Geofencing. 3.1 As between the Parties, Gogo is responsible for ensuring that the IPTV Channels are not received, distributed, exhibited or displayed on any IPTV A/C located outside of the continental United States airspace for IPTV A/C departing from or arriving at destinations outside the continental United States (including the District of Columbia) or in airspace that precludes the transmission or receipt of IPTV Services due to applicable laws or regulations (the “Unauthorized Airspace”). The operation of the IPTV Services in order to receive, distribute, exhibit or display the IPTV Channels on IPTV A/C while such IPTV A/C is within the Unauthorized Airspace (“Unauthorized Exhibition”) is not authorized under this Amendment or the Original Agreement. Notwithstanding the foregoing, for the purposes of this section, the reception, distribution, exhibition and/or display of the IPTV Channels on flights flying city-pair routes between destinations within the continental United States (including the District of Columbia) shall be deemed within United States airspace unless such IPTV A/C enters Unauthorized Airspace during the applicable flight.
Geofencing. GEOFENCING technology shall be used to limit speeds in in specific areas and/or safely disable any SHARED MOBILITY DEVICE that has entered a zone that prohibits use. GEOFENCING zones in the PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY or on City-owned property shall be implemented/updated upon request of the City or, if non- City property upon request of the property owner. The OPERATOR shall provide a specific email account or online portal for submitting GEOFENCING requests, respond to all requests within 72 hours, and complete all requests within five business days. Permittee shall implement geofences pursuant to the Policy for Low-Speed Electric Scooter Use, Operation and Pilot Program in the City of Pittsburgh prior to deployment of any vehicle. 2.) Permittee shall respond and implement all DOMI’s requests to administer additional geofences within 24 hours. Geofences may include alterations to the permitted service area administration, including but not limited to: a. Restricted riding zones; b. Restricted parking zones; c. Controlled riding zones, with speed reduction to three (3), six (6), or ten (10) miles per hour; d. Controlled parking zones; and/or e. Parking corrals. 3.) Permittee must adhere to the Policy for Low-Speed Electric Scooter Use, Operation and Pilot Program in the City of Pittsburgh for geofence implementation
