Gifts or Gratuities. Provider may not offer or give anything of value to an officer or employee of HHSC or the State in violation of State law. A “thing of value” means any item of tangible or intangible property that has a monetary value of more than $50.00 and includes, but is not limited to, cash, food, lodging, entertainment and charitable contributions. A “thing of value” does not include contributions to public office holders or candidates for public officer that are paid and reported in accordance with State and/or federal law. Subcontractor may terminate the Agreement at any time for Provider’s violation of this requirement.

Gifts or Gratuities. Both parties agree not to give or offer gifts or gratuities of any type to the other party's employees or members of their families. Gifts include entertainment, personal services, favors, discounts, or other preferential treatment of any kind. Such gifts or offerings may be construed as attempts to improperly influence the business relationship between the parties.
Gifts or Gratuities. The following excerpts from GCPS Board of Education policy apply: 1. GCPS employees shall not accept a gift favor, loan, reward, political contribution, gratuity, entertainment, transportation, lodging, or meals from students, parents, or potential suppliers who conduct business with GCPS except those of nominal value (less than $50.00), which must be disclosed to the immediate supervisor and the Department of Internal Audits. Advertising items and instructional products that are widely distributed may be accepted. 2. GCPS employees are expressly prohibited from soliciting from any present or potential supplier (person, company, firm, or corporation) the right/privilege to purchase goods or services for personal use at prices offered the school system through bids and/or quotes. 3. In the event a company provides unsolicited incentive type gifts with the shipment of an order, the items should be turned over to the Purchasing Department for disposition. Disposition will be as follows: (a) Items which have no bearing on school business will be disposed of in the best interest of the school system. (b) Items which can be instructionally utilized will be forwarded to requesting school.

  • Advertising Prohibition Provider is prohibited from using Student Data to (a) market or advertise to students or families/guardians; (b) inform, influence, or enable marketing or advertising efforts by a Provider; (c) develop a profile of a student, family member/guardian or group, for any commercial purpose other than providing the Service to Client; or (d) use the Student Data for the development of commercial products or services, other than as necessary to provide the Service to Client.
