Common use of Government Official Clause in Contracts

Government Official. Any employee or officer of a government including any national, regional or local department, agency, or enterprise owned or controlled by a government, any official of a political party, any official or employee of a public international organisation, any person acting in an official capacity for, or on behalf of, such entities, and any candidate for foreign political office.

Government Official. Any employee or officer “Government Official” shall mean (a) any Representative of a government including any nationalGovernmental Body, regional or local department, agency, or (b) any Representative of any commercial enterprise that is owned or controlled by a governmentGovernmental Body, including any official state-owned or controlled medical facility, (c) any Representative of a political party, any official or employee of a public international organisationorganization, such as the International Monetary Fund, the United Nations or the World Bank, (d) any person Person acting in an official capacity forfor any Governmental Body, enterprise, or on behalf oforganization identified above and (e) any political party, such entities, and any party official or candidate for foreign political office.

Government Official. Any employee or officer of a government including For purposes hereof, “Government Official” means (i) any nationaldirector, regional or local departmentofficer, agencyemployee, agent, or enterprise owned representative (including anyone elected, nominated, or controlled by appointed to be a governmentdirector, officer, employee, agent, or representative) of any official of a political partyGovernment Entity, any official or employee of a public international organisation, any person anyone otherwise acting in an official capacity for, or on behalf of, such entities, and any candidate for foreign political office.of a Government Entity;

Government Official. Any employee “Government Official” shall mean (i) a director, officer, employee, agent or officer representative of a government including any nationalgovernment, regional military or local state-owned or affiliated entity or organization; (ii) any department, agency, corporate entity, instrumentality or enterprise owned political subdivision of any government or controlled by a governmentmilitary; (iii) any person or commercial entity acting in an official capacity for or on behalf of any government or military; (iv) any candidate for political office, any foreign political party or any official of a political party; or (v) any officer, employee, agent or representative of any official or employee of a public international organisation, any person acting in an official capacity for, or on behalf of, such entities, and any candidate for foreign political officeorganization.

Government Official. Any As used in this Section 21, the term "government official" means any officer or employee of any government or officer of a government including any national, regional or local department, agency, instrumentality or enterprise wholly owned corporation thereof, or controlled by a government, any official of a political party, any official or employee of a public international organisation, any person acting in an official capacity for, for or on behalf ofof any such government or department, such entitiesagency, and instrumentality or wholly-owned corporation thereof, or any candidate for foreign political office.

Government Official. Any “Government Official” refers to (i) any public or elected official, officer, employee (regardless of rank), or officer person acting on behalf of a government including any national, regional provincial, or local government, department, agency, or enterprise instrumentality, state-owned or state-controlled by a governmentcompany, public international organization, or political party and (ii) any official of a political party, any party official or employee of a public international organisation, candidate for political office or any person acting in an official capacity for, or on behalf of, of such entities, and any party official or candidate for foreign political office.

Government Official. Any “Government Official” means: (a) any employee or officer of a government including government, including, without limitation, any nationalfederal, regional or local department, agencyagency or instrumentality of a government, or an enterprise owned or controlled controlled, even in part, by a government, ; (b) any political party or any official or employee of a political party, ; (c) any official or employee of a public international organisation, organization (such as V2023 the World Bank or United Nations); (d) any candidate for political office; and (e) any person acting in an official capacity for, or on behalf of, such entitiesany entity identified in subparts (a) (b), (c) and any candidate for foreign political office(d).
