Government-to-Government. 1. For the purpose of modifications to this SPA, signing Memorandums of Agreement (MOA), and/or annual reporting, the NRCS State Conservationist will communicate directly with the State Historic Preservation Officer and the THPO or elected leaders of the Federally Recognized Tribes of Michigan.
Government-to-Government. 4.1. The UK Space Agency and Australian Space Agency (the Government-to- Government Implementing Authorities) will hold ongoing working level discussions on a quarterly basis or as appropriate, attended by relevant officials, to discuss space policy development in each jurisdiction and identify emerging space trends. This will include timely notification of relevant space-related announcements during their preparation.
4.2. Exploring perceived challenges faced by UK and Australian space organisations looking to scale up in each other’s markets will form a key part of these discussions, using information made available, where appropriate, to both Participants through stakeholder discussions and statistics from the relevant governments departments.
4.3. The Government-to-Government Implementing Authorities will explore with industry bodies innovative avenues for incorporating the views and experiences of space organisations into policymaking.
4.4. Other relevant bodies from each jurisdiction may be invited to participate in discussions where particular value may be added, with consent of the Government- to-Government Implementing Authorities.
4.5. The Government-to-Government Implementing Authorities will work together to identify and share best practice in developing space projects within government, and in managing the policy and regulatory issues presented by the growing presence of private sector actors in developing space technologies and applications.
4.6. The Government-to-Government Implementing Authorities will work together to understand how space can support our policy planning and response to disease outbreaks following the impact of the COVID-19 global pandemic.
4.7. The Participants acknowledge that space technologies and cross-cutting space applications support broad national interests and our space sectors and ambitions will benefit from greater policy coordination and a ‘whole of government’ approach.
4.8. The Government-to-Government Implementing Authorities will work with the necessary UK and Australian Government leads and stakeholders:
4.8.1. Through multilateral fora that address the peaceful and responsible uses of space, such as the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Use of Outer Space (UNCOPUOS);
4.8.2. Through the relevant national space committees such as the UK’s National Space Council and the Australian Space Coordination Committee.
Government-to-Government. Recognition of the government-to-government relationship among the Parties, with the willingness and commitment to strengthen that relationship, including through respect for and good faith intention to reconcile differences between the Parties.
Government-to-Government. Federally Recognized Indian Tribes have a special government-to- government relationship with the U.S. government. Government to government is also used to describe the relationship and protocols between tribes and other governments such as states. Key Concepts: • States/Tribes work directly with each other in a government-to-government fashion, rather than as subdivisions of other governments. • Take appropriate steps to remove legal and procedural impediments to working directly and effectively with each other’s governments and programs. • Encourage cooperation between tribes, the state and local governments to resolve problems of mutual concern. • Incorporate these Principles into planning and management activities, including budget, program development and implementation, legislative initiatives, and ongoing policy and regulation development processes. • Coordinate and provide mutual assistance as the governments assume new regulatory and program management responsibilities.
Government-to-Government. The act of a county recorder recording a document for a government entity through the SECURE G2G Portal.
Government-to-Government. This relationship acknowledges Tribal governments as sovereign entities with primary authority for the protection of the health, safety, and welfare of their citizens. Status as a sovereign nation requires the federal government to interact with tribal governments on an official basis, one government to another. Government-to- government also recognizes a Tribe’s right to self-government and self-determination.
