Governmental Interest Sample Clauses
Governmental Interest. TSRI and Sponsor acknowledge that TSRI has received, and expects to continue to receive, funding from the United States Government in support of TSRI’s research activities. TSRI and Sponsor acknowledge and agree that their respective rights and obligations pursuant to this Agreement shall be subject to the rights of the United States Government, existing and as amended, which may arise or result from TSRI’s receipt of research support from the United States Government, including but not limited to, 00 XXX 000, the NIH Grants Policy Statement and the NIH Guidelines for Obtaining and Disseminating Biomedical Research Resources.
Governmental Interest. Licensee and Scripps acknowledge that Scripps has received, and expects to continue to receive, funding from the United States Government in support of Scripps' research activities. Licensee and Scripps acknowledge and agree that their respective rights and obligations pursuant to this Agreement shall be subject to Scripps' obligations and the rights of the United States Government, if any, which arise or result from Scripps' receipt of research support from the United States Government, including without limitation, the grant by Scripps to the United States a non-exclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free license to Scripps Technology and Scripps Patent Rights licensed hereunder for governmental purposes.

Governmental Interest. Company acknowledges that certain Receptos Patents arose from research conducted by TSRI and funded in part by the United States Government and that Receptos may receive funds from the United States Government in support of its research activities which may give rise to other Receptos Intellectual Property. Company accordingly acknowledges and agrees that, to the extent the invention(s) claimed in the Receptos Intellectual Property arise or result from the receipt of research support from the United States Government, Company’s respective rights and obligations pursuant to this Agreement shall be subject to all applicable rights of the United States Government, existing and as amended, including as arising under 37 C.F.R. 401.
Governmental Interest. Optionee and Scripps acknowledge that Scripps has received and expects to continue to receive funding from the United States Government in support of Scripps' research activities. Optionee acknowledges and agrees that its rights and obligations pursuant to this Agreement with respect to Scripps Technology and Scripps Patent Rights, and to Scripps' rights to Jointly Developed Technology, as applicable, shall be subject to Scripps' obligations and the rights of the United States Government, if any, which arise or result from Scripps' receipt of research support from the United States Government.

Each of NantCell and Sorrento acknowledge that Sorrento has received, and expects to continue to receive, funding from the United States Government in support of Sorrento’s research activities. Each of NantCell and Sorrento acknowledge and agree that their respective rights and obligations pursuant to this Agreement shall be subject to the rights of the United States Government, existing and as amended, which may arise or result from Sorrento’s receipt of research support from the United States Government.

Licensee and SCIENT’X acknowledge that SCIENT’X has received, and expects to continue to receive, funding from the United States Government in support of SCIENT’X’ research activities. Licensee and SCIENT’X acknowledge and agree that their respective rights and obligations pursuant to this Agreement shall be subject to SCIENT’X’ obligations and the rights of the United States Government, if any, which arise or result from SCIENT’X’ receipt of research support from the United States Government, including without limitation, the grant by SCIENT’X to the United States a nonexclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free license to SCIENT’X Technology and SCIENT’X Patent Rights licensed hereunder for governmental purposes.

Licensee and USC acknowledge and agree that their respective rights and obligations under this Agreement may be subject to the rights of the United States Government, existing and as amended, which may arise or result from USC’s receipt of research support from the United States Government.
