Grievance Steps and Disposition. 5.4.1 Generally, grievances shall be presented by the Union representatives and processed through the following procedure: Prior to the first step meeting, an informal resolution meeting between the supervisor and employee should take place. The employee may request to have a local Union xxxxxxx present for this discussion. If the issue is not resolved at this meeting, and the Union desires to move forward with the grievance process, a joint investigation may be appropriate.
