Guidance to the Offerors on Secondary Bidding Sample Clauses

Guidance to the Offerors on Secondary Bidding. UNDP‟s Procurement Support Office (PSO) is providing direct procurement services on behalf of UNDP country offices through its Central Procurement Unit (CPU). Therefore, the purpose of this Request for Proposal is to conclude the Long Term Agreements (LTAs) for the period of three years with qualified vendors. To assure coverage of all 166 UNDP field office locations with required services UNDP will contract several vendors. The successful vendors shall be contracted for an initial period of one year, with the contract renewable up to three years subject to satisfactory performance. An estimate number of building assessments within next three years would be about thirty (30) for approximate amount of USD 3ml. However, UNDP doesn‟t guarantee it will place orders for this quantity and is not bound by the LTA (s) to purchase any minimum amount of services. UNDP reserves the right to utilize other sources at its discretion to assure value for money. Once the LTAs are established with the vendors, the orders for specific locations will be placed through the Purchase Orders and the General Conditions of LTA will be in force. During the validity of the LTAs the three LTA holders will be invited to quote for each specific requirement based on secondary bidding in order to ensure best value for money through effective competition based on the detailed requirements described in the Terms of Reference. The award of the Purchase Orders for specific requirements will therefore be subject to secondary bidding among LTA holders, and to the requirements and procedures listed in these Terms of Reference, which will be applicable after the corresponding LTAs are awarded. LTA holders must be able to provide quotes to all countries they have appropriate capacity to provide quality and on-time services. For secondary bidding the LTA holders shall use the consultancy fee proposed in the LTAs, while travel and terminal costs will be at cost. The living expenses shall not exceed UN DSA rates and all travel tickets will be economy class regardless of travel hours. Annex IV PROPOSAL SUBMISSION FORM Dear Sir / Madam, Having examined the Solicitation Documents, the receipt of which is hereby duly acknowledged, we, the undersigned, offer to provide Professional Consulting services (profession/activity for Project/programme/office) for the sum as may be ascertained in accordance with the Price Schedule attached herewith and made part of this Proposal.
