HEALTHCARE AUTHORITY. Subject to applicable state regulations, codes and statutes, Corvel and its agents have no authority to control or direct the health care service proposed for or provided to injured person. This authority shall lie only with the injured person and his/her treating physician in any case, and those individuals may accept, reject or modify any advisory determinations made by Corvel or its agents, except insofar as state workers’ compensation laws may require them to follow the determinations of the City, Corvel, the City’s Agents, a workers’ compensation judge or review panel, or another third party.

(HCA) 29 The Washington State Health Care Authority. 32 MANAGED CARE ORGANIZATION (MCO) 33 Managed Care Organization (MCO) means an organization having a certificate of authority or certificate of 34 registration from the Washington State Office of Insurance Commissioner that contracts with HCA under a 35 comprehensive risk contract to provide prepaid health care services to eligible HCA Enrollees under HCA 36 managed care programs. 37 39 MEMBER 40 An individual that is eligible to receive crisis, GF-S funded services and/or Federal Block Grant services and is 41 assigned to an MCO. 42
