Holiday Accrual. Compensatory time off in lieu of holidays earned after the effective date of this Agreement shall be recorded in a leave category to be known as Holiday Leave.
Holiday Accrual. 5 (A) 56-hour employees shall accrue sixteen (16) hours of holiday time per 6 holiday. 7 (B) 40-hour employees shall accrue five (5) hours of holiday time per 8 holiday, with the exception of Fire Prevention employees.
Holiday Accrual. An employee may carry over not more than twenty-four (24) hours of holiday time from one year to the next. Such holiday time carryover shall not be accumulative.
Holiday Accrual. Employees shall accrue time off for holidays, at the rate of 8.0 hours per month, for a total of ninety-six (96) hours. Holiday accrual shall accrue to the PTO leave bank and become part of the monthly accrual for PTO in accordance with Article 11, Section 11.1.

Holiday Accrual. Covered employees working other than eight (8) hour shifts will be prospectively awarded an accrual of forty-eight (48) hours of Holiday time on January 1, and fifty-six (56) hours of Holiday time on July 1 of each calendar year (based on eight (8) hours per Holiday that occur in the time period). This award is intended to provide flexibility to cover Holidays without creating the need to supplement time-off with additional benefit time.

Holiday leave shall be utilized in the same manner as vacation leave, and shall be approved or denied on the same basis. Non-sworn employees and Officers assigned as Detective and School Resource Officer shall take holiday time off on the date the holiday is observed unless otherwise authorized by the Chief. This practice shall end on December 31, 2022 and all employees will follow this article.
Holiday Accrual. Holiday Accrual. The choice of holiday time-off or pay is the sole option of the employee for each holiday worked or which falls on a regularly scheduled day off. All hours accrued as holiday time-off shall be kept in a separate holiday account and shall not be combined with any other form of time-off accrual allowed by the Agreement. Such holiday account shall not exceed forty (40) hours.
Holiday Accrual. Each Officer shall be credited with one day of accrued holiday leave for each holiday adopted by the City Council for each year. Any Officer whose start time for the work shift is on a premium holiday shall receive regular pay plus one and one-half times their base pay plus longevity (with the accrued holiday plus ½ time in pay or compensation time, or without the accrued holiday in pay or compensatory time, at the Officer’s discretion). Any overtime accrued in excess of the Officer’s regular duty hours, during the premium holiday, shall be at one and one half (1 ½) times their base pay plus longevity (in pay or in compensatory time at the Officer’s discretion).
