Common use of HOLIDAYS AND PERSONAL DAYS Clause in Contracts

HOLIDAYS AND PERSONAL DAYS. 1. The following shall be paid holidays for all employees covered by this Agreement: New Year’s Day Labor Day Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Day Veteran’s Day President’s Day Thanksgiving Day Good Friday Friday After Thanksgiving Day Memorial Day Christmas Eve July 4th Christmas Day 2. Holidays which fall on Saturday shall be celebrated on the preceding Friday. Holidays that fall on a Sunday shall be celebrated on the following Monday. (Those listed above.) 3. All employees shall be entitled to three (3) personal business days off with pay, which may be used for personal business provided he has given his/her supervisor advance notice. Advance notice shall be a minimum of one (1) day for each day off requested. Under emergency situations the advance notice would be waived. 4. To be eligible for holiday pay, the employee must work the last scheduled work day prior to the day the holiday is celebrated and the first scheduled work day following it unless the absence is medically excused or excused by the Authority.
