Holidays Falling During Leave or Time Off. a. Leave with pay: where a public holiday falls during a period of annual leave or sick leave with pay, you are entitled to that holiday which is not to be debited against such leave. This provision does not apply to a holiday falling during annual or retiring leave after you have ceased work prior to leaving the University, unless you have worked at any time during the fortnight ending the day on which the holiday is observed. b. Leave without pay: you shall not be entitled to payment for a recognised holiday falling during a period of leave without pay, unless you have worked at any time during the fortnight ending on the day the holiday is observed.
