Common use of Identification of Exceptional Children Clause in Contracts

Identification of Exceptional Children. Employees shall be notified of any known special needs students (as per that student’s IEP/504) assigned to their classes. "Notification" shall be construed to include a review of the student's history and explanation of their condition and suggestions and/or requirements for meeting their needs. If any such child is under the care of a professional person or agency other than those employed by the school district, the principal shall, on request of the employees, seek such information and services which might improve the situation. Such information regarding a previously certified child shall be provided only with parental consent.
