Water tariff revision Tariff implementation in all 15 the ULBs shall follow the principles of the mandatory reforms under the India’ Xxxxxxxxxxx Xxxxx National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM). By December 2014, the water tariff level should be sufficient to cover full operation and maintenance of the water operation for each ULB. Water supply coverage By end of year 4 of each tranche, water supply service coverage of 90% should be achieved through the water supply investment under the Investment Program. Impact and Outcome. 1. The impact of the Project is to improve the urban environment, public health and quality of life in Hefei through reduced incidence of water-borne and air-borne diseases, road accidents, and vehicular emissions; and increased employment, investment and business opportunities.
2. The outcome of the Project will be improved public wastewater management, flood control and transport services in Hefei by (i) increasing the wastewater treatment rate; (ii) upgrading the water quality; (iii) reducing the probability of flood risk in Ershibu, Banqiao and Sili rivers; (iv) reducing the probability of flood risks in Chao Lake, reducing erosion of the lake bank and improving the ecological environment of Chao Lake; and (v) creating a sustainable road transport system which is safe, economically viable, and environmentally friendly in the Xinzhan Zone, resulting in increased industrial development, more jobs and better health and safety.
Impact and Outcome. 1. The Project's impact will be more efficient electricity end-use.
2. The Project's outcomes are:
(a) reduced electricity from the national electricity grid needed for street lights by powering some of Nepal's street lights in Bhaktapur, Kathmandu and Lalitpur with solar and wind energy;
(b) reduced peak electricity demand of about 10 megawatts;
(c) deferred investments in new electricity generating capacity of about $18 million;
(d) energy savings of about 23 gigawatt hours per year;
(e) increased sales and reduced price of good quality CFLs; and
(f) decreased sales of incandescent bulbs and low-quality CFLs.
