Improper Installation. We will correct an improper installation/repair/modification of a system or appliance in order to ensure system operation compatibility and functionality. Coverage does not apply if the cause of failure of the system or appliance is solely due to improper installation/repair/modification, or if the system is undersized relative to the square footage of the area being heated/cooled. All other terms and conditions of the Plan apply. If the improper installation/repair/modification is in violation of code requirements we are not responsible to correct code violations.

This limited warranty does not apply to moisture damage by events beyond everyday household spills, including, but not limited to: flooding, standing water allowed remaining on floor, appliance leaks, leaking plumbing, or any source of continuous, repetitive or long term water exposure This limited warranty does not apply to damage caused by subfloor moisture. This limited warranty applies to topical moisture sources only. Any moisture or water coming from underneath the floor is not covered under warranty. Defects or failures of other manufacturers’ products at the subfloor assembly, including but not limited to subfloor material, fasteners, patching compound, adhesives, and other floor coverings are not covered by these limited warranties. Damage caused to your hardwood flooring by other manufacturers’ products is not covered by this warranty. Other items not covered under the limited warranties include construction traffic, abuse to the surface of the flooring; use of non-recommended nailers, staplers, or adhesives; end gapping due to mastic memory or improper seating of planks during installation; squeaking, popping or crackling by any cause. (Popping sounds caused by depressions in the subfloor ARE NOT covered under these limited warranties.) Damage to the flooring such as dents, scratches, or dulling of the finish is NOT covered. Cabinets and other built-in appliances should be installed PRIOR to the installation of the hardwood flooring. They should NOT be installed on top of floating hardwood flooring. Improper Installation. Material installed not in accordance with Mohawk Group Light Commercial Installation Guide, including any and all problems caused by the use of non- recommended adhesive or seam sealer, underlayment and/or preparation of the substrate, is not warranted. Installation errors are not manufacturing-related conditions. Mohawk Group does not warrant installer workmanship.

Installed equipment not meeting Program standards, improperly installed, or is otherwise not functional, such equipment will be disqualified for an Incentive and Performance Payment, where relevant. Rustic Series may be applied to a variety of fiber cement substrates by different manufacturers; therefore, failing to follow the most current installation instructions of the particular siding manufacturer will void the warranty. This includes all installation instructions including but not limited to: handling, storage, end-cut sealing, spacing, flashing, nailing, caulking, backing, sheathing, building wrap, and preparation. This warranty excludes all horizontal installations such as decks, roofing, or walking surfaces. Exposure – Exposure to harmful chemicals, fumes, vapors, salt spray, air pollutants, or other misuse or abuse. Extreme Weather Conditions – This warranty excludes damage from hail, lightning, tornadoes, hurricanes, windstorm, or any act of God or anything resulting in any damage not caused by a defect in the coating. ALL CLAIMS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO XXXXXXXX IN WRITING WITHIN 30 DAYS OF DISCOVERY Remedy If Woodtone determines that the coating has failed to meet the terms of this warranty, Woodtone as its sole liability and in lieu of any direct, indirect, or consequential damages will supply sufficient replacement coating to cover the affected areas, or at Woodtone’s option, will credit or refund the purchase price of the defective coating at a pro-rated basis according to the following schedule: for years one through six – 100% of the cost of coating, for years seven through fifteen the amount will decrease 10% per year. Costs of labor for application of replacement products are specifically excluded from this warranty and are the owner’s responsibility. Cost of replacement siding material or other substrate is not included in this warranty.
