Personal Sick Leave (1) An employee is entitled to use any accrued personal leave for absence due to personal illness or injury. The employee is entitled to use accumulated personal leave as sick leave if the employee has already used the current year’s sick leave component of the personal leave entitlement as personal sick leave.

Industrial Accident and Illness Leave Section 44984 of the Education Code is supplemented as follows:
Cumulative Sick Leave Plan Each employee shall accumulate sick leave with pay entitlement at the rate of one-half work day for each full bi-weekly pay period on paid status up to a maximum accumulation of 155 days of unused sick leave with pay entitlement.

Industrial Accident and Illness Leave shall be granted for illness or injury incurred within the course and scope of an employee's assigned duties. The employee who has sustained a job-related injury shall report the injury on an Office approved accident form to the immediate supervisor within twenty-four (24) hours. An employee shall report any illness, in writing, to the immediate supervisor within twenty-four (24) hours of knowledge that the illness is an alleged industrial illness. Teaching Staff Assigned to More Than One Building Each Educator who is assigned to more than one building will be evaluated by the appropriate administrator where the individual is assigned most of the time. The principal of each building in which the Educator serves must review and sign the evaluation, and may add written comments. In cases where there is no predominate assignment, the superintendent will determine who the primary evaluator will be.
