Breaches to the data protection legislation should be dealt with by the relevant partner’s policies and procedures and may need to be reported to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). All agencies are reminded of the Data Protection Act/ GDPR Principles and Part 6, Section 170 (unlawful obtaining) and Part 7, Section 198 (liability of directors) Offences of the DPA 2018. It is the responsibility of all partners to notify the other party of any known breach or infringement immediately and remedial action must be agreed and actioned by all relevant agencies concerned. Security incidents should be reported immediately to the affected partner via the named SPoC who will report it to the appropriate person within their organisation.
