Common use of Installations and workstations Clause in Contracts

Installations and workstations. 4.2.1 If we (or your supplier) have told you that the Software may only be used on a specified number of computers (sometimes referred to as ‘installations’) then you may only install and use the Software on and up to that specific number of computers and you may not transfer the Software to a different computer after it has been installed unless we agree otherwise. 4.2.2 Unless the Software is licensed for use on specific computers, you can transfer a copy of the Software from one computer to another one owned by you, as long as you always adhere to the terms of clauses 2, 3 and 4 of this agreement and the Documentation and permanently delete the Software from the computer it was originally installed on. You may need an ‘activation code’ in order to do this (see clause 2.2).
