Involuntary Lateral Transfers. Transfers shall not be punitive or disciplinary in nature. They shall be based on the educational needs of the District. a. A faculty member may be involuntarily laterally transferred provided (1) minimum qualifications as defined in 5 CCR §53410, (2) reasonableness, and (3) seniority have been appropriately considered. b. Faculty members to be involuntarily laterally transferred shall have the right to indicate preferences from a list of vacancies, and the District shall honor such requests on the basis of (1) required minimum qualifications, (2) reasonableness, and (3) seniority. c. A faculty member to be involuntarily laterally transferred shall be given the reasons for the transfer. d.
