Common use of INVOLUNTARY TRANSFER/REASSIGNMENT - OVERSTAFFING Clause in Contracts

INVOLUNTARY TRANSFER/REASSIGNMENT - OVERSTAFFING. An involuntary transfer shall be made when there is a decrease/reduction in the number of students at a site, which requires the decrease in the number of bargaining unit members. Volunteers will be requested before any involuntary transfers occur. If there are no volunteers, the district will proceed with involuntary transfers. The bargaining unit member with the least seniority will then be transferred.
