Issued Items. Unless otherwise noted in other sections of Article 23, the Employer shall furnish a one-time initial issue to all bargaining unit members consisting of the following listed authorized items, at no cost to the Employee. Issued Items. The City will provide an initial issue, to each uniformed member upon being hired, without cost, the following items: One cap with winter band and hat badge One winter coat with shoulder insignia Two pair trousers Two long sleeve shirts with shoulder insignia Two short sleeve shirts with shoulder insignia One service weapon with holster One gun belt with four belt keepers & appropriate magazine pouch(s) One set of handcuffs with case One baton with belt ring One tie with departmental tie bar One NFPD badge One name plate One raincoat Chemical agent with carrying case One reflective “POLICE” traffic vest One ballistic vest with carrier(s) The City will also provide such other protective and occupational equipment as may be required by the Superintendent of Police.
