JOINT DECLARATION. Representatives of the United States and of the European Community and its Member States confirmed that the Air Transport Agreement initialled in Brussels on 2 March 2007 and envisioned for signature on 30 April 2007 is to be authenticated in other languages, as provided either by exchange of letters, before signature of the Agreement, or by decision of the Joint Committee, after signature of the Agreement.
JOINT DECLARATION. The parties agree that a working group should be created by the Joint Committee to assist it in the management of the Protocol on mutual administrative assistance. The representatives OF THE EUROPEAN ECONOMIC COMMUNITY, and OF THE SWISS CONFEDERATION, assembled at Brussels on this twenty-second day of July in the year one thousand nine hundred and seventy-two, for the signature of the Agreement between the European Economic Community and the Swiss Confederation, at the time of signature of this Agreement, — have adopted the following declarations annexed to this Act:

JOINT DECLARATION. Both parties agree that refraining from taking any measure likely to jeopardise possible subsequent criminal prosecution of the member of the team by the competent authorities of the host State includes refraining from actively facilitating the return of the concerned member of the team from the European Border and Coast Guard operation premises in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia to his/her home Member State, pending the certification of the Executive Director of the Agency.
JOINT DECLARATION concerning the Financial Mechanism Should an EFTA Contracting Party withdraw from EFTA and accede to the Community, appropriate arrangements should be made to ensure that no additional financial obligations are, as a result, incurred by the remaining EFTA States. The Contracting Parties note in this regard the decision by the EFTA States to calculate their respective contributions to the Financial Mechanism based on the GNP at market price data for the three most recent years. As regards any acceding EFTA State, appropriate and equitable solutions should be found in the context of the accession negotiations. JOINT DECLARATION on the relation between the EEA Agreement and existing agreements The EEA Agreement shall not affect rights assured through existing agreements binding one or more EC Member States, on the one hand, and one or more EFTA States, on the other, or two or more EFTA States, such as among other agreements concerning individuals, economic operators, regional cooperation and administrative arrangements, until at least equivalent rights have been achieved under the Agreement. ON THE HARMONISATION OF INFORMATION ON PROCEDURES FOR ISSUING SHORT-STAY VISAS AND ON THE DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED WHEN APPLYING FOR SHORT-STAY VISAS Recognising the importance of transparency for visa applicants, the Parties consider that appropriate measures should be taken: – in general, to draw up a list of basic information for applicants on the procedures and conditions for applying for visas, on the visas themselves and on the validity of the visas issued; – in the case of each Party, to draw up a list of minimum requirements in order to ensure that applicants are given basic, coherent and uniform information and are required to submit, in principle, the same supporting documents. The information mentioned above is to be disseminated widely (on the information board of consulates, in leaflets, on the Internet, etc.).
