JOINT MODIFIED WORK COMMITTEE Sample Clauses
JOINT MODIFIED WORK COMMITTEE. 14.01 The parties agree to establish a Joint Modified Work Committee consisting of one (1) employee member and two (2) alternate members from each Home selected or appointed by the local Union, and one (1) Employer member from each Home to be determined by the Employer together with the Region's Manager responsible for Occupational Health and Safety, or appropriate designate, who shall act as Chairperson.
14.02 The Chairperson of this committee shall act as a resource person to the Committee and the Committee's liaison with the treating physician, Vocational/Rehabilitation Services, and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board.
14.03 The purpose of the Committee is to review and recommend appropriate individual case strategies for providing for the safe and successful return of injured workers to the workplace as soon as possible after an accident.
14.04 The Committee will meet as required and all such authorized time spent in Committee meetings shall be without loss of regular pay or benefits.
14.05 All Committee members agree to respect the confidentiality of information and documentation provided for its consideration, including documentation obtained through the employee's treating physician, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, and/or the employee's Vocational/Rehabilitation Case Worker.
14.06 The Committee will be responsible for:
i) Determining if the employee's regular job can be modified;
ii) Comparing the demands of jobs and tasks with an employee's current abilities;
iii) Recommending duties to be assigned to the injured worker which allow him or her to ease back to a full workload gradually;
iv) Such other related matters as the Committee deems appropriate.
14.07 a) Employees who are off work and collecting Short Term Disability benefits and who are returned to work under modified duties will not receive less than their Short Term Disability benefit entitlement as defined in Article 19.01 (e) of the collective agreement.

The parties agree to establish a Joint Modified Work Committee consisting of the employee, one member selected or appointed by the local Union, the employee's Supervisor or designate together with the Board's W.S.I.B. Claims Officer or designate, who shall act as the Committee Chair.
JOINT MODIFIED WORK COMMITTEE. The employer agrees that a Joint Modified Work Committee with equal representation of all bargaining units and management members will be structured to facilitate the method of accommodation of employees with disabilities in the workplace. The employer shall provide the necessary resources to ensure the effectiveness of the Committee.
JOINT MODIFIED WORK COMMITTEE. 22.01 The parties agree to establish a Joint Modified Work Committee consisting of one (1) employee member and one (1) alternate member from that office selected or appointed by the local Union, and one (1) Employer member from each employee’s location to be determined by the Employer together with the Region's Manager responsible for Occupational Health and Safety or appropriate designate, who shall act as Chairperson.
22.02 The Committee Chairperson shall act as a resource person to the Committee and the Committee's liaison with the treating physician, Benefits Plan Administrator, Vocational/Rehabilitation Services, and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board.
22.03 The purpose of the Committee is to review and recommend appropriate individual case strategies for providing:

Potential modified work situations will be considered by a Joint Modified Work Committee consisting of: the returning employee, the immediate supervisor, a Union representative, and a Human Resources representative. The Human Resources representative shall chair the Committee and shall act as liaison with the treating physician, the insurance carrier, vocational rehabilitation services, Adjudication Services, and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, as required. The purpose of the Committee is to review and recommend appropriate individual case strategies for providing: a) for the safe and successful return of injured workers to the workplace as soon as possible after an accident; and b) for the return to productive and gainful employment, where practicable, those employees who have become incapable of fully performing the major responsibilities of their own classification but who are medically certified as capable of performing modified duties of their own or another classification.

The Committee will assess current practices and procedures, consider other forms of effective procedures, and report their findings and recommendations (if any) to the Labour Management Committee for consideration. JOINT MODIFIED WORK COMMITTEE. The Parties agree to establish a Joint Modified Work Committee consisting of the employee, up to two (2) members selected or appointed by the local Union, the employee's or designate together with the Board's Claims Officer or designate, who shall act as the Committee Chair. The Union shall provide to the Board, in writing, the names of the Union representatives to the Committee and advise the Board, in writing, of any changes. The Committee will assess current practices and policies respecting modified work and the modified work program proposed by the Union and attached as 19.04 and Appendix “A”. The Committee will report their recommendations to their respective bargaining committees for consideration.
